Genre: Crime, Drama
The series follows the papacy of pope Borgia Alexander VI who rose into power by bribing his way into becoming the next pope. His papacy is one of the most controversial reign of all time. The pope had a mistress who bore him three sons, one who he forced to be a man of the cloth, the other the general of the Vatican army, and the youngest son who he arranged for him to be married at a very young age.Pope Alexander was very insecure about his papacy, which led to him to going to extraordinary length to secure his seat like, killing his opposers up to the extent of marrying off his daughter to a ruthless man so that he could get his support when the time came. The series is quite wonderful and full of conspiracy but what would you expect from a series with a catch phrase 'Sex, Power, Murder............Amen'.The phrase is sincerely spot on
